About Us: Our Crew

Jack Peterson

A life long Seattle/Vashon, Washington resident, ‘Fib’, as he is known on the set, attended Garfield High School and the University of Washington when, according to him, education was “easier”. His parents bought a beach cabin on Vashon in the 1940’s, so he's been living on and off the island since then. Early on, he pursued his love of people and photography, getting his first photography education in special courses in high school and, later, at Shoreline College in North Seattle, WA.

He’s had a ten year stint as an extra and as lead talent in locally made movies and commercials, and although they still call him, he now prefers working behind the camera as EagleDigital Productions’ Gaffer, the chief lighting electrician responsible for executing the lighting plan for each video production. He coordinates the entire job of lighting, has knowledge of how to light each subject, given the time of day and conditions to be portrayed, and is responsible for managing resources including lights, gels, shades, cable, and manpower.

Married to artist Geri Peterson, with whom he bought a house on Vashon in 1977, his plan is to stay on "the island of our dreams" and enjoy the conversations he and Rick Skillman are having with artists and interesting others.
